Macassar Ebony Console, Paris c.1928, viewed from the front

One of a kind

Macassar Ebony Console, Paris c.1928

€14,800

A restrained Parisian console in Macassar ebony over a mahogany carcass, the figured veneer laid in book-matched panels across the frieze. Two plinth supports rise from a stepped base joined by a low stretcher. The bronze pulls are original; the top has been cleaned and re-waxed but never refinished, and the surface carries its ninety years openly.
